I wonder if he ever considered whether Satan was actually his former ally? After all, he ridiculed everything related to Christianity throughout his life, considering Jesus to be a myth fabricated by the Gospel writers. He is claimed to have said in reference to the Bible, “In 100 years this book will be forgotten and eliminated…”
He should have known that in the end the Prince of Lies has no friends and every human person is his mortal enemy, forsworn or not. Sadly, I guess he knows now.
