Please consider that rather than being without a rudder you have been using the wrong one, which is in essence like having none. Remember, smooth seas do not make skillful sailors.
God grant you grace and the peace you need in your time of trial. May his wisdom guide you in your choice of rudders and in all things never forget the words of Jesus – “I will never leave or forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5) – as you go through your dark night of the soul.
