We live in difficult times, maybe the most difficult times on earth. Technology is advancing at an ever-increasing rate, and it is losing powers that allow the manipulation and control of people in ways those desiring control in the past could not even dream of. As Christians and those trying to navigate the narrow road and hear God’s voice, how do we deal with this difficult environment?
There is the temptation to fight fire with fire and seek a primarily technological solution to our problems. While technology may have its place in certain circumstances, it is not the primary weapon in our arsenal. I believe the truth of this Scripture is our primary weapon.
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.”
This is God’s promise to us, our heritage as children of God in Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Claim this promise daily and trust God to be true to His Word. Remember Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and their willingness to be thrust into flames no matter the outcome (Daniel 3:16-28). They were preserved and joined by one who “is like the Son of God.” Their preservation was not their primary concern, but the strength to maintain their righteousness before their God. That needs to be our focus also.
God’s best blessings be with you as you fight the good fight to stay on the narrow path that leads to salvation and eternal life, trusting in the promise of Isaiah 54:17.
