Today, I am going to my daughter’s house and doing a house cleansing of her property. It is at her request. What follows are the prayers and activities we will do. I have also included a downloadable PDF of the process, in case you would like to have a copy for your reference.

  Repent for all sins committed on the land: murder, idolatry, curses, hatred, contention, and broken vows.

House Cleansing: Detox (Baptism and Anointing of Spaces)

As Christians, who are brothers in Christ through the blood of the Cross and the power of the Spirit, we are born again into new life, and we use blessed water and blessed oil. Water to cleanse and oil to anoint the location representing God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit’s presence. We search out and remove anything unclean from the cleansed spaces. We dedicate these cleansed spaces to the glory of God alone.

We begin with confession. We pray to You also for the forgiveness of our sins.

Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry, and we humbly repent. For the sake of Your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in Your will, and walk in Your ways, to the glory of Your Name.

Clothe me in the Righteousness of Christ, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

We then use 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love, and of a sound mind” and Psalm 91. Evil only leaves when we evict it in the name and power of Jesus Christ.

Psalm 91 Amplified Version

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”
3 For He will save you from the trap of the fowler,
And from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions,
And under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.
5 You will not be afraid of the terror of night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction (sudden death) that lays waste at noon.
7 A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But danger will not come near you.
8 You will only [be a spectator as you] look on with your eyes
And witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as you watch safely from the shelter of the Most High].

To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service].

So that you do not [even] strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and cobra;
The young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
14 “Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him;
I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].
15 “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
16 “With a long life I will satisfy him
And I will let him see My salvation.”

We then put on the whole armor of God.

Father God, I come to you in Jesus’ Name, putting on Your full armor, so that I can take my stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  I put on the full armor of God, so that in this day of evil I may stand my ground. I stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, I take up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. I put on the helmet of salvation and take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.  Strengthen me, O Lord, by the blood of the cross of Jesus Christ and the power of your Most Holy Spirit. Amen.

We ask for discernment.

God, I ask that you give me the gift of discerning spirits so that I may remove all evil spirits from my home.  The only spirits that can live here are the ones who are still in the land of the living and bow to the name of Jesus and are here by your will, O God.  I ask that your Holy Spirit dwell with me and my family, and that you lead and guide us through this process today.  Please send any angelic assistance we might need to help with the removal of all of these evil spirits.  Send your mighty warrior angels to contend on our behalf and handle any demonic powers that resist our efforts.

We open every window and door, pray, and anoint, and when everything is done, we close.

I command every evil spirit to leave this home immediately in the name of Jesus.  You cannot stay here.  You have no part in me or anything here. I renounce you and any other spirits that have come with you. That includes any spirit of infirmity, addiction, sexual immorality, poverty, suicide, or any other spirit not of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I anoint this opening with the holy oil of God, sealing this entrance from penetration by anything not of God, by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ.

I close this door/window to any evil spirit or anything not of God.  Henceforth, you shall no longer use this as an access point to gain entrance to this home.  Only angels assigned by the Commander of Heaven’s armies are allowed to enter this home. I mark the sign of the cross as a reminder to you that this house is sealed under the blood of Jesus, and you must pass over it and never enter into this house again, in Jesus’ Holy Name. Amen.

All mirrors.

If this is a doorway for the spirit realm that evil spirits are using to enter this house, I close it and seal it in the name of Jesus.  You can no longer use this as a means of entry.  This is merely a mirror, an inanimate object that will never again serve as a spiritual portal.  I command it to be closed forever, in Jesus’ name, by the blood of His cross. Amen.

All Plumbing.

If this is a doorway for the spirit realm that evil spirits are using to enter this house, I close it and seal it in the name of Jesus.  You can no longer use this as a means of entry.  This is only plumbing and not an entry point into this house. It will never be used as a spiritual portal again.  I command it to be closed, in Jesus name, by the blood of His cross. Amen.

Televisions.

We cast out anything not of our Holy God from this television, including the sneaky squid spirit that blinds the mind and casts deception. May it be cleansed of all the evil that has flowed through it, and we seal it from all evil in the future. If anything, not of you, oh Lord, flow visually or through sound out of this device, may it be immediately destroyed by the power of Jesus Christ, by the blood of His cross, and cast as far as the east is from the west away from this place. Amen.

Outside

Driveway.

May no evil thing that is not of God enter this driveway. We seal this entryway into our sacred space by the power of God, by the blood of Christ, and by the discernment of the Holy Spirit to be forever blocked from the use of every evil or anything not of our Holy God.

Walkways.

May no evil thing that is not of God use this walkway. We seal this path in our sacred space by the power of God, by the blood of Christ, and by the discernment of the Holy Spirit to be forever blocked by the use of every evil not of our Holy God.

Backyard.

We cast from this backyard any evil presence not of our Holy God, and we forever seal this space as His alone, to be used for His honor and glory and no others, by the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross.

Front yard.

We cast from this front yard any evil presence not of our Holy God, and we forever seal this space as His alone, to be used for His honor and glory and no others, by the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross. May all who pass by it know of Your holy presence and see only Your glory. Amen.

Side yards.

We cast from this side yard any evil presence not of our Holy God, and we forever seal this space as His alone, to be used for His honor and glory and no others, by the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross.

Mailbox.

May this box be protected from any evil intrusion, from anything not of our Holy God, and be sealed forever so that it may never be used as an entry point for evil into this holy space, which is dedicated to God alone.
