A Blessed Thanksgiving To All

Today we remember that it is from God that we have everything of worth having and we thank him for it. This holiday of Thanksgiving should call to mind the words of Paul in Acts 17:28, “For in him we live and move and have our being.”

Thank you Lord

Thank you Lord for all that you have given us.
Thank you for your patience with our failings.
Thank you for forgiveness for things done, and left undone.
Thank you for all the blessings of this life, especially:
My wife, my daughter, my father, my brother and sister, and
all those who call me friend, both near and far, past and present.
For those who have departed, especially mom, my brother
Alan, and Bill Pritchard, whom I look forward to seeing with you.
Thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ, for redemption, new
life, and the peace that passes all understanding.
But most of all, thank you Lord for being you.

Amen.

Update: I took the Thanksgiving quiz and I am:

You Are the Stuffing

You’re complicated and complex, yet all your pieces fit together.
People miss you if you’re gone – but they’re not sure why.

Hat tip to Proverbial Wife.
