Rimshots #11 “Morality”

History is a voice forever sounding across the centuries the laws of right and wrong. Opinions alter, manners change, creeds rise and fall, but the moral law is written on the tablets of eternity. – James Froude

James Froude was a 19th century English historian who saw the flow of history as a great drama filled with significant personalities. If, as scripture argues, we are created in the image of God, then the moral law is embedded within our very essence and each new soul begins life with an innate understanding of right and wrong, what we call the conscience. So, while individuals may sear their internal compass, rendering it useless, new compasses appear with each new birth, echoing to the world around them the eternal truths.
